will not consider positions in the NOVA/DC/MD areas

I am a systems administrator with a deep love of Linux, programming, and technology. My entry into the professional space began in 2011 even before entering the workforce. I was always experimenting with technology. Of all the different Linux distros Debian is my favorite, but I am also familiar with Fedora, Red hat, Centos, and even Arch Linux. When I’m not at my day job doing sys admin work, I’m often knee-deep in a project such as the ones listed on my website. When asked what type of position I would like to be in, I often think of DevOps fitting me best. I enjoy both content and software creation as well as the new content and system management technologies that allow for stable, repeatable, and rapid deployment.

Current Projects

Beyond my professional pursuits I often have projects I take on for both fun and profit.
I live an breathe tech and almost always am engrossed in some new open source software or tech related project, Have a look at some of my most recent pursuits!

Inventory System

I am building a system for use by a GM/DM of a D&D style game to inventory and manage a real world-styled economy. This system will incorporate the full Linux stack with a NoSQL backend,  a mobile-accessible app, and a thermal printer for quick, automated, and data-based managed dispersal of loot tags to players.

3D Printing

I have several 3D print projects revolving around deposition-based 3D printer technologies in conjunction with CAD software (sketchup). I have also recently became interested in G-code encryption and decryption technologies.

Ultimate HTPC

This is my attempt to utilize and connect several technologies I already incorporate as well as push the limits of the hardware platform I am using. I have a small form-factor PC loaded with a Debian-based OS that has software to allow ease of streaming media from my home NAS, game streaming, and emulation (using MAME and other emulators).

Custom Server Rack Case

A fond pet project, money sink, and playground of mine, often used for experimentation with new technologies such as virtualization and cloud computing, I have a custom server rack that is ever-evolving for both fun and profit. The current projects in place are upgrades of a managed switch, a gluster fs test array , and a new and improved media streaming center security camera controller (RTSP/OVIF) .
